For venues
Your venue, the way planners actually need to see it.
Professional planners decide which venues to bring to a client long before they send an inquiry. They want the site fee, the food and beverage minimum, the real capacity with a dance floor in the room, the curfew and the vendor rules. Usually that takes three emails per venue. The Dossier puts those answers on one private page, so the planners who reach out to you have already done the qualifying.
Free for venues. Always.
Listing is free. Planners pay for access, which keeps the information neutral. No venue can pay to rank higher, look better or hide a fact. Nothing on a page is bought.
Private, not public.
The Dossier is closed to the public and not indexed by search engines. Only vetted professional planners who pay for membership can see venue pages. Your pricing never shows up in a Google result.
How your page gets built
- 1We start from public sources: your website, published wedding and event guides, and listings you've already put out into the world. Every fact shows how much to trust it and when it was checked.
- 2We send your sales team a private link. No login, no account. You confirm what's right, correct what's off, answer the handful of questions only you can answer, and upload your packet or floor plans if you'd like.
- 3Facts you confirm earn the Verified on The Dossier mark, dated the day you confirmed them.
The Verified mark
Planners trust a verified page more than anything else on the platform. Confirmed facts carry the mint Verified mark and the date. We’ll check in about once a year so it stays current, and you can send an update any time something changes.
What planners see
Event spaces and capacity by setup. Fees and minimums. Rules with their conditions, like end times, outside vendors and outside planners. Guest rooms and buyout options. Your sales contact. A blank field reads “Not yet confirmed,” never “no.”
Changes and removal
You can correct any fact on your page whenever you like. We don’t hide accurate information because it’s inconvenient, and we don’t edit planners’ private notes. If you’d rather not be listed at all, tell us and we’ll take your page down. The full policy is below.
Policy
Venue edit and removal policy
- What you can change
- Any fact about your venue: spaces, capacities, pricing, fees, minimums, rules, rooms, contacts, photos and documents. Send a correction through your private link or by email. We update your page within five business days, and confirmed facts show as Verified with the date.
- What stays as it is
- Accurate information that came from your own public materials stays on your page even if it's inconvenient, though you're always welcome to update it with something more current. Planners' private notes and field notes belong to the planner who wrote them, and venues can't see or edit them.
- Pricing
- If your pricing has changed, send us the current numbers and we'll replace the old ones. If you'd prefer a range, a “starting at” figure or “available on request” for a specific item, tell us and we'll show it that way, labeled as your choice.
- Documents and photos
- Anything you upload stays private until we've reviewed it. Tell us if a document is for planners' eyes only or shouldn't be shared, and we'll respect that. We'll remove any photo you ask us to.
- Removal
- If you'd rather not be listed, email shani@thedossier.vip from your venue's email address and we'll take your page down within five business days. We keep a short internal note so we don't re-add your venue by mistake.

Questions
Good to know
Does it cost anything to be listed?
No. Venues are listed free. Planners pay for membership.
Can we pay for a better placement?
No. There is no paid placement, no sponsored listings and no advertising. That's the point. A Featured tag only means a wedding or event publication has covered the venue. It is never paid for.
Who can see our page?
Vetted professional planners with a paid membership. It is not public and not indexed by search engines.
How do we update our information?
Reply to the private link we sent your team, or email shani@thedossier.vip and we'll send you a fresh one.
Do we need to create an account?
No. Venues never need an account or a login.
Will you send us leads?
Planners contact you directly, the same way they do now. They'll just arrive having already read your fees, rules and capacity.
