Search

Search the way you plan.

Type a venue, city or brand, or narrow the list with these filters. Every venue that fits shows up with why it works and anything to watch for.

Unknown is not no. If a venue hasn’t confirmed a detail yet, it stays in your results marked “Not yet confirmed,” unless you choose to hide it.

What you’ll find

Built around the questions wedding planners ask first.

The Dossier serves planners of every kind of event, and it was built with wedding planners at the table. A wedding asks more of a venue than almost any other event, and the details that make or break the day are the ones venues leave off the website.

So those are the details we chase down, write down and date.

For planners

Qualify a venue before you hit send.

You know how it goes. A property looks perfect online, and then the third email reveals the ballroom seats 140 with a dance floor, not 250, and the music has to stop at ten.

The Dossier puts those answers up front so you can qualify a venue before you open your laptop, and walk into the site visit already knowing what matters.

Beta opens November 1. Request access and we’ll send your invite.

For venues

Answer the same questions once.

Your sales team answers the same questions every week. How many seated with a dance floor, what’s the minimum on a Saturday in October, can they bring their own caterer.

Share those answers once. We verify them, and professional planners see accurate information about your property when they’re deciding where to send their next event.

Listing is free for venues, and verified properties carry a Verified on The Dossier badge.

Questions

Good to know

What is The Dossier?

The Dossier is a private venue intelligence platform for professional wedding and event planners. Capacity by configuration, F&B minimums, buyout costs, vendor policies and load-in details for hotels, resorts and event venues, with every fact dated and labeled by how much to trust it.

Who is The Dossier for?

Professional event planners: wedding, corporate, destination and private-event planners, at every budget from mid-market to ultra-luxury. It was built with wedding planners in mind, because weddings ask the most detailed questions of a venue.

Where does the information come from?

From venue sales teams, venue materials and planners who have worked at the property. Every fact says whether it was reported by the venue, verified by The Dossier or reported by a planner, how confident we are, and the date it was checked.

What does Verified mean?

The venue confirmed the fact directly with The Dossier, or our team checked it ourselves. Verified facts carry a mint mark and the date they were confirmed.

Do venues pay to be listed or edit their own pages?

No. Venues never pay and have no accounts. Our team enters and corrects every record. Venues can confirm their details through a private questionnaire we send them, and we review every answer before it appears. A Featured tag only means a wedding or event publication has covered the venue. It is never paid for.

How do I search for a venue?

Type a venue, city or brand, or filter by location (state or country), guest count, event type, what the venue is good for (a ceremony, welcome party or board meeting, for example), venue type, indoor or outdoor, hotel brand or collection, buyout, guest rooms, site fee and F&B minimum budgets, music end time and outside catering. Venues with a detail not yet confirmed stay in your results unless you choose to hide them.

Is there a venue score or star rating?

No. A venue is not a number. Search starts from your brief and shows why each venue works and any potential issues, so you can decide for yourself.

How does membership work?

Choose a monthly or annual membership, or buy credits that unlock individual venues for 12 months. Annual adds branded client pages and shortlist downloads.

Can I share venues with my clients?

Yes. Annual and Founding members can send a client a private page with the venues they're considering, branded with the planner's own logo and colors. Clients don't need an account, and the page only shows what a client should see. Venue contacts, rules and planner notes stay inside The Dossier.

“I’ve spent years chasing the same answers from venue after venue, one email at a time. The Dossier is the tool I wanted on my own desk.”
